UPDATES BELOW
Kalki666 has been arrested by Wheaton Police. For those of you who haven't followed the story so far here's the whole ordeal of my fight with this white supremacist.
Aside from being in a place he belongs, we will now know his true identity. He will be forced out of his cowardly hiding.
More details to follow shortly, but for now here is the statement issued by Wheaton College President, Duane Litfin.
Mr. McDuffee:
Thank you again for alerting us that our computing system was being used to make postings to a white supremacist website. In response to your inquiry, here is an expanded account of what transpired.
As soon as we were made aware of this problem, our Computing Services department began devoting every effort to identify and stop these actions that violate not only our rules for use of campus facilities, but more importantly, our institutional identity and moral commitments. We determined by early Thursday afternoon that the postings were originating from one of our public access computers in the College Library.
Just after 9:30 AM CST Friday, we were certain that we could identify the individual making the postings. Our Public Safety Officers approached the individual around 9:50 CST with a request to step outside the Library to discuss his presence on campus. When confronted that we believed he was making postings on our computers that violated our terms of use, the suspect denied any involvement in such postings but refused to produce proper identification that would allow us to issue a letter of trespass. Our Public Safety Officers called the Police of the City of Wheaton to assist in escorting the person off our premises. The individual was arrested by the Wheaton Police. Because this is now a police matter, we will defer to the Wheaton Police for you to obtain more information.
We are able to verify that the individual arrested has had no association with Wheaton College whatsoever other than the use of our public access computers in the Library. We maintain these computers for free public use, but do require that such use not violate the same terms of use we maintain for members of our College community.
Sincerely,
D. Litfin
